Nova Vaga De carro faz-se num tiro: pela A5 em direcção a Cascais corta-se para Oeiras e dez minutos depois chegamos. O Taguspark é uma fantasia tecnológica no meio de coisa nenhuma, com vistas panorâmicas e cenário de ficção científica, perfeito para passear em tardes solarengas e preguiçosas. A nossa vila futurista implanta-se num promontório sobranceiro atapetado com relvados impecáveis à volta dos quais empresas, institutos e universidades se concentram em alegres sinergias. A sinergia constitui uma espécie de obsessão desta tecnosfera e faz parte do dialecto muito próprio falado no Taguspark que inclui ainda conceitos tão enigmáticos como "conectividade", "centros de competências" e - o nosso favorito - "incubadoras de ideias". Todos os dias convergem para este universo sintético largas centenas de quadros ligados aos ramos das telecomunicações, electrónicas e tecnologias de informação. Dentro de alguns anos, quando o empreendimento estiver completo, esta tripulação nem precisa de sair de lá: anuncia-se a construção de zonas residenciais, um hotel e um campo de golfe a juntar aos restaurantes, lojas de conveniência e "health club" já existentes. Para os outros mortais resta apenas a visita ao átrio do núcleo central, "big brother" nevrálgico de todo o complexo, banhado pelo sussurro de muzaks e com aclimatação irrepreensível. Por baixo de tudo isto fica, no entanto, a mais fantástica de todas as infra-estruturas do Taguspark: uma galeria técnica com cinco quilómetros de extensão a percorrer o recinto num circuito oval que alimenta os vários edifícios com um emaranhado de cablagens fundamentais para o funcionamento deste sonho digital. Quando o tédio aperta, guardas nocturnos reúnem-se nesta pista subterrânea para disputas motorizadas que fazem corar de vergonha as linhas RDIS do complexo.

 

New Wave / Nouvelle Vague By car, it takes no time at all: trough A5 heading Cascais, off to Oeiras; ten minutes more and you're there. The Taguspark is a technology fantasy in the middle of nowhere, with panoramic sightseeing and a sci-fi set, just perfect for lazy sunny afternoons. Our futuristic villa lies on top of a beautifully lawned cliff, surrounded by companies, institutes and universities, gathered up in a happy synergy. Synergy is like an obsession in this technosphere, it's part of Taguspark's very peculiar lingo, which comprehends many as enigmatic concepts such as "conectivity", "competence centers" and - our favorite - "idea incubators". Every single day, hundreds of ?x converge to this synthetic universe, ?x from telecommunication, electronics and information technology companies. In few years, the park will be complete, and this crew will not even have to get outside: habitation areas, a hotel and a golf course will be built, next to the already existing restaurants, convenience stores and health club. For the rest of us mortals, there's the eventual trip to look at the central nucleus lobby, the neural Big Brother of the whole complex, sunk by the whispering muzaks and the irreprehensible acclimation. Beneath all this, lies the most amazing infrastructure of Taguspark: a technical gallery five km wide in an oval circuit, feeding all the buildings and the site with endless, crossed tubes, providing all the needs, assuring thus the functioning of this digital dream. And if there is any boredom emergency, the nightwatchmen ride across this subterranean track in motorbike races, blushing embarrassingly the RDIS system cables.
