Talvez não tivessem reparado, mas, por lapso de um atrasado mental de um colaborador que ainda está vivo, o último número da flirt, que aparecia como sendo o nº 12, na realidade era o nº11, sendo que este é que é o verdadeiro nº 12, ou seja o número comemorativo do primeiro aniversário da flirt. O nº12 deveria ser o nº 13 porque tudo começou com o nº 0. É uma questão de fazer as contas. O nº 0 é o nº 1, o nº 1 é o nº 2 e assim por diante, numa confusão semelhante à situação que se coloca quanto à verdadeira data da passagem do milénio.
A flirt faz anos. Os portugueses e as portuguesas estão de parabéns. Os estrangeiros e as estrangeiras idem. Para além do Dicionário Académico, somos a única publicação bilingue editada em Portugal. E, ainda por cima, somos de borla, numa época em que ninguém dá nada a ninguém, a não ser chatices.
O ano que passou foi muito relativo. Por um lado passaram-se muitas coisas, por outro comeu-se bueda mal. Há muita gente a passar fome, há guerra no mundo, há caracóis. E enquanto há uma cambada de pobres agiotas e chupistas cujo único objectivo na vida é comprar bancos e seguradoras, o objectivo da flirt é ter muito dinheiro para comprar tabaco e módulos da Carris. E, claro, informar os leitores daquilo que se passa em Lisboa: música, teatro, artes plásticas, cinema, guerra, o campeonato e as cotações da Bolsa.
E pronto, ficamos assim, mas não ficamos por aqui.

Maybe you haven't noticed, but a moron of a collaborator - that is still alive - made a mistake and wrote on the cover of the last flirt issue the number 12, but it was actually the 11th, so this one is actually the 12th, which means the commemorative issue of the first anniversary of flirt. The 12th should be the 13th, because all this began with issue 0. Simple maths. #0 os #1, #1 is #2 and so on, a confusion similar to the one related to the actual turning of the millennium.
It's flirt's birthday. Happy birthday, Portuguese men and women! Happy birthday, foreigners! Besides the Academic Dictionary, flirt is the only bilingual publication in Portugal. And it's free, in a time when the only thing for free is headaches and backstabbing.
This was a very relative year. If, in the one hand, there were a lot of events, on the other hand, we ate very poorly. Too many people starving, too many wars, too many snails. And while a bunch of old sods of and c***suckers are trying to buy national banks and insurance companies, the only thing that we wish, here at flirt, is make big bucks to buy cigarettes and bus tickets. As well as to inform our dear readers about what's up in this town of Lisbon: music, theatre, visual arts, cinema, wars, football championships and Stock Market quotations.
OK, that's it for the time being, but we'll be here for a long time more.
